Azurite
In the blue series the soundhole decoration and the marquetrie are made with azurite, a deep-blue copper mineral. The use of ornamental stones characterizes the look of Neumann guitars.
Philipp Neumann travels to the Swiss Alps to carefully select the spruce soundtops by hand. The selection of the cedar tops leads him to Spain. Only this complex process guarantees the highest quality in sound.
